On June 15, June 2024, Chaowen will be conducting the world premiere of Forsyth County is Flooding (with the Joy of Lake Lanier), an Atlanta Opera Commission by composer Marcus Norris and librettist Adamma Ebo, the 2022 winners of the 96 Hour Opera Project.

Chaowen was awarded Second Prize at the Felix Mendelssohn International Conducting Competition 2024 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic conducting the Karlovy Vary Symphony.
Chaowen was awarded 3rd Prize at the Kussewitzky Competition 2023 in Italy conducting the Orchestra Sinfonica Città di Grosseto.
